In the Plan @ Chess organized School Children Chess Tournaments,which are concluded here at Sri Sai Siddhartha School, Motinagar , P. Kamal Kishore of St.Gabrial High School claimed winners trophy in below 10th Class category with 4 points from 5 rounds. K.S.Anand Reddy of Brilliant Grammer School got second place also with 4 points.

In Below 7th Class group R.Kumar Nataraj of B.V.B.Public School-BHEL, got First Place with 5 points from five rounds followed by B.Ajit (4Points) of Niraj Public School.

In Below 4th Class Category Event S. Anuraag of Idion Temple School claimed trophy with 5 points from as many rounds, whereas G.Revanth Reddy of Sri Sai Siddartha School placed second with 4 points.
The events attracted 73 player from various schools in twin cities. In the valedictory function Sri. Maganti Srinivas, Director, Sri Sai Siddartha School distributed the trophy’s and other special prizes to the winners.

Plan @ Chess, will organize a chess tournament, with support of Andhra Pradesh Chess Association, for School Children of twin cities at Sri Sai Siddhartha School, Motinagar on Sunday 25th June 2006. Tournament will be held for boys and girls in different categories like below 4th Class, Below 7th Class and Below 10th Class separately.

The events are open to all School going children. Interested boys and girls can contact Jagan Mohan, Chess Coach, on cell no. 98660 16436 before 24th June 2006. Players should bring their bona-fide certificate from their school. Spot Registration accepted at the venue at 9:00AM. Entry Fee Rs. 100/- per player.

The tournament will be held swiss league format of five rounds. First round starts at 10AM on 25th June 2006. Latest FIDE rules will be followed.

Beside winner and runner prizes in each category, there are special prizes.

Amateur Chess Tournaments Results

Revanth wins under 10 category, Dushyanth Clinches U-15
Madhu Chary Gets U-19 and Sriram is Open Category Champion

In the A2H Chess Academy organized Amateur Chess Tournaments, G.Revanth Reddy of Sri Sai Siddhartha School won Under 10 years Category with 5 points from as many rounds. In the final round he defeated K. Pranav of Chirec Public School. Pranav stood runner up with 4 points. V.Sri Sanketh of Johnson Grammer School who also scored 4 points placed 3rd due to lesser progressive (tie break) score.

Under 15 Years Category also witnessed clear winner. After five rounds N. Dushyanth emerged champion with 5 points by defeating runner up P.V.Kiran(4) in the final round.

The Events attracted 48 entries, most of them first timers, from various chess camps and schools. All the paraticipants were given Book-lets on Chess Laws. Top five in each category were presented Books on Chess Strategies, Endings, Middle Game and Opening Ideas. In a simple valedictory function Veteran Chess Players Mr. Lanka Srinivas and Mr. K.Sita Ram gave away the prizes. Amateur Chess Tournaments
Under -10, Under 15, Under-19, and Open Category
On Sunday, 14th May 2006, at Kukatpally

A2H Chess Academy will organize Open and Age Group Chess Tournaments for Amateur Chess players on 14th May 2006 at Kennedy School, Kukatpally.

These non-professional events will be held in four categories i.e., Under 10 Years Age Group , U-15, U-19 and Open Category ( no age limit ). Children who take up chess recently and who are under going training in different summer chess camps can utilize this opportunity to familiar with tournaments rules and get an experience about competitive chess.

Prizes: Top five players in each category will get books on Chess Endings, Strategies and Techniques. Besides these special prizes, all the participants will be given book-lets on basic chess laws and if interested they can attend one week refresher chess course at the same venue from 15th to 21st May 2006.

Entries Interested can register their names at the venue daily between 5pm-7pm before 12th May (Friday ). Entry fee Rs. 100/- per participant.

Praveen Prasad wins Open Rapid Chess

International Rated Chess Player, P.Praveen Prasad (ELO: 2227) of Hyderabad emerged winner by scoring 5 points from as many rounds in A2H Chess Academy organized Open Rapid Chess Tournament concluded here today (9th April 2006), held at Kennedy High School, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The event attracted 73 players from Hyderabad and suburbs.

Five Special Prizes were presented to the winners, First prize Digital Chess Clock, worth Rs. 1,500/- and 2nd to 5th Places got Chess Material (Books & Chess Sets) worth Rs. 200/- each. Besides the above prizes all the participants will be provided ten day chess coaching at the same venue in summer holidays.

In the final round Praveen Prasad (5) defeated Ch.Raj Kumar (4). On second board G. Srinivas (4.5) drew with M.Y.Raju (4.5) and placed joint second & third. Ch.Raj Kumar and P.Srikanth were placed joint 4th & 5th with four points each.

10k Chess Training Center organized Open Chess Tournament for School Children on 26th March 2006 at Kennedy High School, Kukatpally. Tournament has attracted over 70 participants from different schools in twin cities. The Event was in 5 different categories according to the children class of study, i.e., Below -2nd Class, 4th Class, 6th Class, 8th Class and below 10th Class. The events were held in swiss leage of 5 rounds in each category. All participants were selected for summer coaching camp besides getting special prizes (Chess Material – International Standard Chess Sets).
