Summer Chess Camps from 25th April 2006,
at Kukatpally & Erramanzil Colony

A2H Chess Academy will organize Summer Chess Camps from 25th April to May 24th, 2006 at Kennedy High School, Kukatpally and also at IMMS Hall ( Irram-Manzil Mahila Samajam Hall), Erramanzil Colony, Panjagutta.

This One month Chess Coaching will be given in beginner, advanced and competitive categories, by professional chess coaches. Weekly five classes (Mon-Friday) and week-end practice tournaments (Sat & Sunday) will be conducted for boys and girls of all age group.

Praveen Prasad wins Open Rapid Chess

International Rated Chess Player, P.Praveen Prasad (ELO: 2227) of Hyderabad emerged winner by scoring 5 points from as many rounds in A2H Chess Academy organized Open Rapid Chess Tournament concluded here today (9th April 2006), held at Kennedy High School, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The event attracted 73 players from Hyderabad and suburbs.

Five Special Prizes were presented to the winners, First prize Digital Chess Clock, worth Rs. 1,500/- and 2nd to 5th Places got Chess Material (Books & Chess Sets) worth Rs. 200/- each. Besides the above prizes all the participants will be provided ten day chess coaching at the same venue in summer holidays.

In the final round Praveen Prasad (5) defeated Ch.Raj Kumar (4). On second board G. Srinivas (4.5) drew with M.Y.Raju (4.5) and placed joint second & third. Ch.Raj Kumar and P.Srikanth were placed joint 4th & 5th with four points each.

A2H Chess Academy will organize Open Rapid Chess Tournament on 9th April 2006 at Kennedy High School, Kukatpally (Ph. 98667 02431). The event is open to all chess players and there is no age limit. First Round begins at 10AM and Total Five Rounds will be played on Swiss League Method with latest FIDE rules for Rapid Chess.

There are Five Special Prizes for the winners, First prize being Digital Chess Clock, worth Rs. 1,500/- and 2nd to 5th Places will get Chess Material (Books & Chess Sets) worth Rs. 200/- each.

Besides the above prizes all the participants are provided ten day chess coaching at the same venue from 21st – 30th April.

Entry Fee Rs. 100/- per participant (This fee includes Entry Fee for the tournament & Ten Day Training Camp Registration Fee) Entries can be registered by 6pm on 8th April 2006 Saturday.
